A free 'upgrade' for anyone with their hi fi in an alcove or bay. If you can, move the equipment out of the bay entirely. If you can't do this, moving the eqipment even a few inches forward normally has a good effect.

What should you hear? Well a noticeable increase in dynamic range is normally audible together with a faster more engaging system. The best model we have for this effect is that bays and alcoves do not dissipate energy (trapped in the floor) as quickly as larger spaces. This energy continuously feeds back into the system long after the original impulse has gone.
