Anyone attending our Music @ The Magnet evening recently will have heard the new Dual CS 418 turntable. An astonishing bargain at £499 (inc Ortofon 2M red cartridge), and capable of huge performance improvements, totally out of keeping with its price point. Well, we had to hear the 518. Basically a 418 with a better tonearm.
With the same potential for improvement as the 418, the 518 realises these improvements with a finesse that completely eludes the 418.
At £560 for the turntable with Ortofon 2M red you have an astonishingly capable turntable.
