Audiomica Cables

The name Audiomica may be new to you, it was to us a year ago when this Polish cable company sent us some cables for evaluation, and blew our collective minds. They have since become our reference speaker and digital cables, and joint reference interconnects (with MIT).

At recent exhibitions in the UK both Albarry Music and Tannoy have chosen Audiomica cables for their systems.

The first UK review of Audiomica cables has been undertaken by Hi Fi World magazine this month (May issue) where they devote 4 full pages to 6 cables. We think reviewer Paul Rigby is absolutely fair and accurate with his evaluation.

Got a Top dCS System? Then Make it Even Better!

The most emphatic improvement to a top dCS (Scarlatti / Vivaldi) has to be the addition of an Antelope Audio Isochrone 10M atomic clock. This product has an effect totally out of all proportion to it’s cost.

The benefits are across the board: Pitching, timing, dynamic and spatial. Essentially focussing the entire system in a way that is difficult to credit. It is becoming increasingly clear to us that clocking of digital systems is more important than other influences on digital playback such as sampling rate and word length.

Of course this clock is an ideal partner for the Antelope Isochrone Clocks.

Creek Evolution 50A Amplifier

A £700 integrated amplifier with that performs with energy and bags of subtlety. This amplifier represents a real step forward for Creek at its price point, and for our money, now defines what is possible at £700. If you are looking for a new amplifier at less than £1,000 then you must audition the Evolution 50A. In addition to stunning performance, the Creek has loads of features and facilities (including a plug in FM tuner module!) .

Antelope Audio Isochrone 10M Atomic Clock Now on Demonstration

Pushing the boundaries of the possible has always been our aim with our reference systems. The best just got better with the arrival of this device from Antelope Audio. Essentially providing the ultimate reference signal for clocking our top digital systems. The difference this makes to our top systems is not small.

See the full entry under Antelope Audio for more details.

Accuphase E-360 Amplifier

The volume control on an amplifier is normally a major source of compromise in their design. We have recently witnessed Spectral completely revamping their top preamplifier with a revolutionary design, and Albarry have searched out the finest volume pot available in their recently updated preamplifier. Well Accuphase are now at it, and they have decided that they don’t need one at all!

In their AAVA (see here ) volume control stage they get rid of the problems of the variable resistance / impedance compromises built in to all amplifiers until today. Needless to say all the other attributes you would expect of an Accuphase products have been maintained or improved, including peerless engineering, and totally coherent wide band reproduction.

All other amplifiers in the current Accuphase range benefit from this new development.

Book your appointment to hear the E-360 soon.

Price £6,400

Accuphase amplifiers begin at £4,950 with the E-260e-360

Tannoy Definition DC10A

The new Tannoy DC10a is now on permanent demonstration. Featuring a 10″ dual concentric drive unit with Alnico magnet this speaker combines huge dynamic range abilities with the low colouration cabinet design based upon, but improving on, the enclosure designed for the Definition range.

Tremendous time coherence, combined with dynamic subtlety are the hallmarks of the very best speakers in the Tannoy range.
