We welcome Avalon Acoustics back into The AudioWorks’ fold after a five year hiatus, and a change of distributor. This speaker is reminiscent of the delightful Ascendant that we sold 5 or so years ago. But, there are differences. While the Ascendant was a sonic revelation, it never wore its heart on its sleeve. The new Avalon IDEA, is not only more open hearted (read wider apparent bandwidth & dynamic range) while keeping the focus and neutrality of its predecessor, it is also less expensive! This, for us, makes it a musical bargain.
